Welcome to Raufoss Fire Department’s home page. Raufoss is a small Norwegian village with a population of app. 6000. Raufoss is situated 120 km north of Oslo, and 10 km south of Gjøvik. Raufoss Fire Department has its main fire-fighting area in Vestre Toten county, population 12.600.

Raufoss Fire Department is a private fire department, one of 3 in Norway. We are owned by ISS AS (51%) and Mjøskraft AS (49%).

Raufoss Fire Departmend is a part-time fire department. That means that we are emploeed only part-time. All fire fighters has another primary job, carrying a beeper that goes off when we are needed. We are 20 fire fighters, devided into five teams with four persons. At all time one of the team are on duty (at home).
